Artbooking and September Stamp of the Month Tags

I decided to do tags rather than cards for this weeks blog hop.  I love tags because the add so much to the top of a gift bag or can just add a special touch to a cellophane bag filled with cookies to deliver to that special friend or neighbor.  I love that you can add lots of embellishments without having to worry about how well it will fit into an envelope.  I don't like that they photographed rather poorly but sometimes that's the price you pay for adding too much bling and working with drab colors.  I used a file folder to create the tags that I cut 6 1/4 x 3 1/4, I was able to get 6 tags from 1 folder.  I only used the file folders, craft cardstock here, black cardstock here and black glitter paper here for the papers.  The color is all done with our inks. The crow is one of the felt ones from the while supplies last section for $1.50 found here here .   I used Artbooking here all with real dial size pushed for the bat-1 1/2, back part of the moon-2, 1 at 1 1/2 and the flower 1 at 1 inch and the other at 1 1/2 in the black glitter paper.  The moon at 1 1/2 and flowers 1 each at 1 1/2 and 1 at 1 inch in craft paper.  I used lots of our background stamp sets to create the texture.  I used the stamp set from Laughing Lola cardmaking kit here for the ribbon and used the little blotch from that set to help create the vintage look on all of the edges.

This one was made almost exact but I used some of the retired wooden fall ornaments.  I stamped the leaf in the chevron stamp set found here and the top of the acorn was stamped with the Laughing Lola stamp set above.  The metal plate is also a retired piece that was on the WSL section not too long ago.   I cut the branch from Artbooking pg 72 at 1 1/2. and inked the edges to add dimension.

I used cranberry ink for the background stamp on this stamp and Ponderossa Pine on the houndstooth portion and screen print on the tree with the stamp set here.  I think that the background stamps that we have are fabulous to use in conjunction with our Cricut cuts to give added dimension to a flat piece of paper.  I cut the tree at 3 inches out of craft paper and used left over file folder for the snowflake cut 2 at 2 1/2 and 1 at 2 inches.  The gem in the middle is unfortunately retired, but I think they should come back with something similar as they were my all time favorite embellishment.  The small blings are some that we as demonstrators can order in bulk.

Let Me Know Which One Is Your Favorite!!!!!

I hope that you have found a bit of inspiration on all of the great blogs this week and look forward to you stopping in again next week.  Be sure to stop by Polly's Blog next to see what great project she has created for this weeks hop.
